The GFHT (« Groupe Français d’Etudes sur L’Hémostase et la Thrombose”) is a scientific task force from the ” French Society of Haematology ” (SFH – Sociéte Française d’Hématologie).
Members of the SFH and GFHT are mainly university staff, researchers, physicians or medical personal, and biologists working in public or private institutions. Staff of pharmaceutical companies involved in the haematology and thrombosis fields may also belong.
The GFHT aims at supporting fundamental and clinical research, improving medical practice and healthcare, promoting industrial innovation, and ensuring the international reach of the group.
The GFHT notably organizes scientific meetings where young clinicians and scientists are encouraged to present their work. The GFHT and SFH also elaborate guidelines or recommendations and favours research by giving grants and prices to young researchers working in French research groups.
The next GFHT meeting will be held from November 16 to 18, 2016, in Tours, France.
